Spark            (verb)

 

1. to give off sparks. 

2. to cause to function.

3. to rouse to strong feeling or action.

 

Have you ever felt like you're waiting to be activated?  Searching for purpose, yet wandering aimlessly with no sense of direction? Life can be bleak and meaningless when we can't find our niche, and chances are the majority of us have felt this way at one point or another.     

 

What we're all in desperate need of is the touch of God on our lives, the ultimate catalyst to spark the soul.  Each of us is wired for connection to the One who can ignite us and charge us with purpose and passion.  We can never truly know ourselves until we discover who He is. 

 

"Fan into flame the gift of God . . ."  (2 Timothy 1:6)

 

Sparks have a way of bursting into flame, stirring us to action when we discover the gift of God within us.  The Westminster Catechism states, "the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever."  There is no greater human purpose than growing a vibrant relationship with the Almighty while using our gifts and talents for His purposes.
